Skin Care Program
To become a licensed Facial Specialist in Florida, students must complete training at a school approved by the Florida Board of Cosmetology. At Florida Medical & Aesthetic International School (FMAIS), we proudly offer a Skin Care Program that meets all licensing requirements.
This diploma program is licensed by both the Commission for Independent Education and the Florida Board of Cosmetology. Upon completing the course, graduates are eligible to apply for their professional license. To apply, students must present their Skin Care Diploma, transcript, and other required documents.
The program includes 260 hours of training combining in-depth lectures and hands-on practice. Students learn essential skin care theory, facial treatments, and proper techniques used in today’s esthetics field.

Skin Care Program Modules
Florida Medical & Aesthetic International School (FMAIS)
The Skin Care Program consists of multiple modules designed to prepare students to become licensed Facial Specialists in Florida. Each chapter includes theoretical lessons followed by an exam. To graduate and receive the Diploma in Skin Care, students must successfully pass both the final written and practical examinations.

Facial Protocols
Facial Protocols
Learn how to perform professional facial treatments based on different skin types and conditions. This module also covers facial mask types and their appropriate applications.
Makeup Application
Master the art of makeup with techniques for various facial shapes, color theory, and product selection. Includes day and evening makeup looks.
Waxing Techniques
Understand the steps of effective hair removal using soft and hard wax. Learn about waxing products, proper hygiene, and hands-on waxing practice.
Eyes & Brows
This module covers eyebrow design, eyelash and eyebrow tinting, and the fundamentals of eyelash extensions for enhanced beauty treatments.
Focus on Facial Techniques
The Skin Care Program places strong emphasis on facial techniques, preparing students to deliver high-quality facial treatments. After graduation, students have the opportunity to pursue specialized training in advanced facial procedures and expand their expertise as specialized estheticians.
Specialized Courses for Skin Care Professionals
Graduates can continue their education through specialized courses offered at various FMAIS campuses. Areas of specialization include Advanced Facial Techniques, Hair Removal and Body Treatments, Micropigmentation, Eyelash Extensions and Eyebrow Design, Anti-Aging Treatments, and Aesthetic Medical Assistant Training.
These courses help licensed Facial Specialists enhance their skills, expand their services, and grow their careers in both spa and clinical settings.
Skin Care Online Program
The Hybrid Skin Care Program at Florida Medical & Aesthetic International School combines online theory with in-person hands-on training. This approach offers the flexibility of virtual learning while ensuring students gain the practical experience needed for professional success.
Online classes are delivered live, and students are required to attend virtually in real time. After completing the theoretical portion online, students come to campus to fulfill their practical hours and apply what they’ve learned in a supervised, hands-on setting.
This hybrid format provides a balanced, convenient, and effective way to complete the Skin Care Diploma Program.
Skin Care Hybrid Program – Online Course
The Skin Care Program consists of a total of 260 hours, including 189 hours of academic theory and 71 hours of hands-on practical training. This hybrid format blends online learning with in-person practice, allowing students to study the theory remotely and complete practical sessions on campus.
Students enrolled in this program will learn a variety of facial treatment protocols and develop skills in multiple cosmetic procedures. These include makeup application, color analysis, ear piercing, lash and brow tinting, and waxing—all essential treatments in today’s esthetics field.
