Students can complete our Medical Assistant Associate Degree Program in as little as 11 months. To obtain an associate degree in science, students reach 91 credit hours while completing their 1340 hours. 

Our Clinical Medical Assistant Certified also can specialized and obtain a National Certification as Phlebotomy, Electrocardiography technician, Billing and Coding, and also can apply for the examination for licensed as Basic X-ray operator in Florida, as part of our Medical Assistant curriculum program.

The objective of our Medical Assistant program is to prepare students to work as Medical Assistants. The student will be able to work at a Doctor’s office, clinic, or hospital. The student will be able to assist the Doctor with in-office medical procedures, schedule patient appointments, and bill patients. Medical Assistants are multi-skilled professionals who assist a Doctor; students learn to perform duties under the direction of a doctor in all areas of EKG. The student will learn how to function in an administrator capacity in the Doctor’s office. The student will learn office skills like billing, basic accounting, filing, computer, and insurance forms.

According to Florida Law, a Medical Assistant assists physicians with patient care management and administrative and clinical procedures and often performs managerial and supervisory functions. 

Medical Assistants may undertake multiple duties, including administering basic first aid and assisting physicians with patient examinations or treatments.
