Medical Assistant Esthetician course is a training certification course is for those wanting to acquire more knowledge of skin care treatment. It consists of 60 hours of advanced aesthetic procedures for an esthetician working in the aesthetic field or who has graduated from an aesthetics school and been certified as a Certified Clinical Medical Assistant. It also includes special training in the latest technology in aesthetic practices and special techniques, like obtaining platelet-rich plasma or fibrinogen from the blood sample taken from the client and applying it to the skin.

Medical Esthetician Certification

The term medical esthetician is a controversial term. It can confuse the client, creating false expectations about the professional qualifications required for aesthetics. Still, as a simple concept, the medical esthetician is a professional who complies with Florida State Regulations, has an active facial specialist license, and has been trained to perform treatments and procedures related to these certifications. After 60 hours of advanced dermato-cosmetic training course, these professionals may work in medical care, providing skin care treatment and some medical procedures for which the medical esthetician has been prepared.

The Medical Esthetician course at Florida Medical & Aesthetic International School prepares professionals to provide skin care treatments using the latest technologies in aesthetic procedures. This means these professionals can perform aesthetic safety procedures following the scope of the specialty and state regulations. At the end of the course, participants may help patients with signs of skin aging, some skin conditions, and undesirable hair. They may work as part of a team of plastic surgery, cosmetic dermatologists, or any other practitioner in the medical and aesthetic field.

Why Become a Medical Esthetician?

Florida Medical & Aesthetic International School has developed the Medical Esthetician certification course due to the demand for cosmetic surgery clinics, medical spas, dermatology clinics, and some units offering medical and aesthetic practices. These centers require a licensed esthetician with a high level of knowledge in the field of aesthetics and in-depth training in managing and caring for clients’ skin. On the other hand, several procedures in aesthetic practices are limited for the esthetician in scope. Still, a properly trained medical esthetician and bearer of an aesthetic license can do so under the supervision of his medical director.

Once the course is finished, participants will be prepared to identify the characteristics of the signs of aging. They can determine the procedures to apply to clients according to their needs. On the other hand, students will be prepared to understand the new technology introduced in aesthetics. They can select when to use these technologies according to the characteristics of the clients.
