Course Description

Florida Medical College the Medical and Aesthetic College of Miami is offering a Medical Assistant Associate Degree Program, which is, approved by the Commission for Independent of Education in Florida. This Medical Assistant Program is designed to prepare students to work as Medical Assistant’s in places such as Hospitals, Nursing Homes, Medical Group Practices, Home Health Agencies and Medical Offices. Graduate from Florida Medical College have also the opportunities to work in Medical Spa, Dermatology office, Aesthetic Practice and Clinical Site among other. Students can complete our Medical Assistant Associate Degree Program in as little as 11 months. To obtain an associate degree in science students need 91 credit hours after 1400 hours. National certification exams can be taken upon completion of the program with the National Healthcareer Association.

A Medical Assistant is a multi-skilled allied health care professional that specializes in procedures commonly performed in the ambulatory health care setting. Our student’s goals are to become a real professional ready to work not only in the health care services, but also as a competent professional in the latest aesthetic technology. Medical Assistant students can be graduated as Associate Degree in Science in Medical Assistant and also certified, as part of their specialization,  in Medical Assistant Dermatology, Medical Assistant Aesthetician or Medical Assistant Researcher.
