Modules we offer
The Skin Care Program at Florida Medical & Aesthetic International School (FMAIS) is designed to prepare students for a successful career as a licensed esthetician in Florida. The program is divided into key modules, each combining essential theory with hands-on practice. Students must pass a theory exam after each chapter and complete both a written and practical final exam to earn the Diploma in Skin Care.
This module focuses on understanding skin types, conditions, and appropriate treatment protocols. Students will learn to perform customized facial treatments, use professional skincare products, and apply various types of facial masks. Instruction includes proper client consultation, sanitation practices, and facial massage techniques.
Students will explore the fundamentals of makeup application, including color theory, product selection, and techniques for different face shapes. This module also covers both day and evening looks. Additionally, students will be trained in eye and brow treatments, such as eyebrow design, tinting, and eyelash extension application.
This final module covers hair removal techniques including waxing procedures, types of wax, and required supplies. Students will develop the skills needed for safe and effective hair removal. The module also emphasizes client care, professionalism, and preparation for the state licensing process through the Florida Board of Cosmetology.
