Electrolysis School in Florida offers a Program that combines Electrolysis and Laser Hair Removal in the Electrology courses at FMAIS. Florida Medical & Aesthetic International School (FMAIS) offers a state-approved Electrolysis Diploma Program, licensed by the Commission for Independent Education. Available in both in-person and hybrid formats, this course prepares students with the skills and certification needed to perform electrolysis and laser hair removal professionally in the state of Florida.
Our Electrolysis and Laser Program is designed to give students a strong foundation in the science of hair removal while building real, hands-on experience. You’ll learn how to safely and effectively use electrolysis and laser modalities in a supportive environment, practicing with professional equipment in our on-site electrolysis facility and medical spa.
As you move through the program, you’ll explore different techniques like thermolysis, galvanic, blend, and laser hair removal, all while learning how to care for clients and perform treatments with confidence.
To complete the course, you’ll need to pass chapter quizzes, a midterm, and a final exam—plus a practical test where you’ll show what you’ve learned in action. By the end, you’ll be fully prepared to start a career in hair removal and meet Florida’s licensing standards.
Our Electrolysis Program
The Electrology Hybrid Program at FMAIS combines 120 hours of online theory with 200 hours of in-person practice, totaling 320 hours. It can be completed in two months full-time or under six months part-time. With a 90% first-time board exam pass rate, the program prepares students for Florida licensure in electrolysis and laser hair removal, and equips them to start their own practice or MedSpa.

Hands-On & Hybrid Learning Options
The Electrology program offers a comprehensive blend of theoretical instruction and hands-on clinical training in various electrolysis techniques.
Students will explore the fundamentals of electricity, understand how epilators function and are adjusted, and study the physics behind laser and light-based hair removal. The curriculum also covers essential topics such as hair growth biology, anatomy, physiology, and common skin pathologies.
In addition, students will gain the skills to assess different skin types, understand the impact of temporary hair removal methods, and follow best practices in bacteriology, sanitation, and sterilization. All clinical procedures are performed under the close guidance of experienced instructors.
The program is offered in two formats: fully in-person on campus, or through a hybrid model. The theoretical portion (120 hours) may be completed either on campus or online through live virtual classes. Meanwhile, the hands-on lab and clinical training (200 hours) take place on-site at the school.
After successfully completing all requirements, students are awarded a diploma in Electrology.
Class Schedule
Florida Medical & Aesthetic International School offers Electrolysis and Laser Class thirty-two hours a week, from Monday to Saturday in different sessions:
- Monday to Thursday from 9 am to 1 pm (Theory)
- Monday to Thursday from 6 pm to 10 pm (Theory)
- Friday and Saturday from 9 am to 5 pm (Practice)
Requirements For Our Course
- Applicant must be eighteen (18) years old or older.
- High School Diploma or a General Education Equivalent Diploma (GED). Diploma and Transcript are accepted from foreign countries, but must be translated in English.
- Applicants for other school (Transfer) is accepted with Official Transcripts.
- Complete an Enrollment Agreement and sign it.
- For Online Course (Virtual Class) review the resources needed.
- To Apply for Florida License SS Card is required.
