Electrology Program

Course Description

This program is designed to teach students in permanent hair removal by electrolysis and preparation to perform laser hair removal as permanent hair reduction method.

"I had the privilege of being a student of Florida Medical & Aesthetic International School. My experience has been overwhelmingly positive. I would recommend this school to anyone looking for a college. Teachers, staff, administration, diversity and curriculum make it quite a special school. They are very supportive and focuses on quality teaching and learning for all students. It implements essential to ensures it is taught effectively.."

Electrology Courses:

The Electrology program consists of 120 hours of academic instructions and 200 hours of clinical applications for a total of 320 clock hours of instruction in Electrology.

This program is designed to train students in permanent hair removal by electrolysis and preparation to perform laser hair removal as permanent hair reduction method.

What is an Electrology Course

The course are designed to give the students a thorough entry-level preparation to work in the field of electrology and laser hair removal. The modern short wave, blend, and galvanic methods are taught in small classes and students gain hands-on experience through clinical applications.

Upon successful completion of the program, graduates may apply for the state licensing exam and the national certification testing. A diploma will be awarded upon graduation from the program.

How to Become an Electrologist or Laser Hair Removal Technician

The State of Florida requires Electrologist to be licensed to work as a Laser Hair Removal Technician. Electrology combine with Laser Hair Removal Courses you will learn about electromagnetic spectrum and the property of light, details characteristic of laser light, laser concept, laser physic and laser action.

Laser and light- based devices terminology. Laser interaction, chromophores absorption and selective photothermolysis. Moreover this course inlcudes types of hazards, laser safety standards, and hazard classification, laser class, and general recommendation in laser hair removal.

Electrolysis is the unique permanent hair removal method. After 200 practice hours students acquire the skill to apply the treatment on client. The State of Florida “no person may practice electrology or hold herself or himself out as an electrologist in this state unless the person has been issued a license”.

This course also include a preparation examination chapter  where preparing students for the electrolysis board examination with satisfactory results. Our school have more than 90% of Board examination in the first presentation.

The combination of the theoretical classes with the hours of practice, turns the students into an excellent professional prepared both for the state exam and for their professional practice.
