“Electrologists renewing a license for the first time who are licensed in the “second half” of the current biennium (as of 6/1/2023 with an expiration date of 5/31/2024) are exempt from the 20-hour continuing education requirement with the exception of the two (2) hour medical errors course, one (1) hour blood-borne disease course and one (1) hour HIV/AIDS course.”

Alexandrite vs Diode
755 nm usually known as Alexandrite in diode laser you can find this wavelength produced by a semiconductor. This wavelength offers the most powerful energy absorption of melanin, making it ideal for a wide range of hair types and hair color – but especially lighter and thinner hair on bright skin types. (Fitzpatrick I-III) Some skin type IV with a lightening tone can be treat safety with this wavelength.
A semiconductor produces a Diode laser as a single laser. The classic wavelength of a diode laser, the most used in hair removal, is 800-810 nm, giving a deeper penetration than 755nm. The wavelength has more moderate melanin absorption than 755nm, making it safe for darker skin types. In this seminar, you will learn the characteristics the laser diode produces in a semiconductor.
NdYag vs Diode
1064nm has been related to the laser device using NdYag 1064nm. The new laser diode has included this wavelength as part of the new dynamic laser machines 1064 nm. This wavelength has a good absorption in hemoglobin and is useful for skin rejuvenation. It is most suitable for dark skin types since melanin absorption is low, and the risk of interaction with melanin in the skin is minimized. (Fitzpatrick V-VI).
Electrologist Seminars 17 CEU
Florida Medical & Aesthetic International School will perform every three months a CEU Seminar offering 17 credits for electrolysis license renewal in 2024.
This seminar will be offered in both language English and Spanish on the same day at the School location in different rooms. Call for more information at 305-417-8316. Registration may be online or at the School.
The tuition fee course is $350.00, and participants can participate for one or two days. Enrollment is available at the School or online through the website.
The Latest Technology in LHR
As part of the seminar, participants will learn the difference and characteristics of dynamic and stationary lasers. Also, the mechanism of laser production in new devices for hair removal using a semiconductor medium that produces wavelengths of 755 nm, 810 nm, and 1064 nm.
For the participants present on the first day, 9 hours of credits will be applied. Those with two days of assistance will receive 17 credits.
