Begin your journey to becoming a licensed facial specialist in Florida through our comprehensive Skin Care Program. As a licensed institution approved by the Florida Board of Cosmetology and the Commission for Independent Education, we offer a diploma-level course that meets all state requirements.

Graduates of Florida Medical & Aesthetic International School are eligible to apply for a Florida facial specialist license upon successful completion of the program. To apply, students must submit their Skin Care Diploma, official transcript, and other required documents.

Our program includes 260 hours of instruction, combining classroom lectures with hands-on training in skin anatomy, analysis, and a wide range of skincare procedures. Applicants must be at least 18 years old and have a high school diploma or equivalent.

Become a Facial Specialist

In Florida, “Facial Specialist” is the official license issued by the Florida Board of Cosmetology to individuals who meet the requirements set by the Department of Business and Professional Regulation (DBPR). One of the main requirements is completing an esthetics course approved by the Board.

Florida Medical & Aesthetic International School offers a Skin Care Program that meets this requirement. The program is licensed by both the Commission for Independent Education and the Florida Board of Cosmetology.

To enroll in the Skin Care Program, applicants must:

Be at least 18 years old and have a high school diploma or equivalent

This program meets all current requirements for the Facial Specialist License in Florida and is approved by the Commission for Independent Education and the Florida Board of Cosmetology. Graduates must apply for licensure through the Florida Board of Cosmetology. A valid Social Security number is required to apply with the DBPR.

To enroll in the Skin Care Diploma Program, applicants must meet the following criteria:

Be at least 18 years of age
Hold a high school diploma or equivalent

This program meets all current regulatory requirements for Facial Specialist training in the State of Florida. It is fully approved by the Commission for Independent Education and the Florida Board of Cosmetology.

Upon successful completion of the program, graduates are eligible to apply for their Facial Specialist license in the State of Florida.

Specialized Aesthetics Training

Skin Care Specialists have the opportunity to deepen their expertise by focusing on specialized areas such as hair removal, facial techniques, body treatments, eyebrow design, eyelash extensions, signs of aging, micropigmentation, or training as an Aesthetic Medical Assistant. Students can choose a focused path to enhance their skills and career opportunities.

Lash & Brow Enhancements

This combined module covers professional eyelash and eyebrow services. Students will learn to apply strip lashes, individual and semi-permanent extensions, as well as eyebrow shaping, tinting, and design techniques used to enhance the eye area.

Advanced Body & Waxing Techniques

Gain expertise in hair removal through advanced waxing methods tailored for different body areas. In addition, learn body treatment procedures such as cellulite reduction, body wraps, endermologie, radiofrequency, and cavitation for body contouring.

Class Modules

Our modules are designed to provide hands-on, industry-focused training that equips students with the skills and techniques needed to excel in skincare and beauty. From facial treatments and makeup application to waxing, lash extensions, and brow design, each module builds both foundational knowledge and specialized expertise to prepare you for a successful career in aesthetics.

Facial Protocols

Students will learn a variety of facial protocols tailored to different skin types and their specific characteristics. This module also covers the selection and application of various types of facial masks.

Makeup Application

This module focuses on makeup techniques, including product selection, color theory, and application based on facial shapes. Students will learn to create both day and evening makeup looks.

Waxing

Students will be introduced to professional hair removal techniques, including the proper use of wax products and tools. Emphasis is placed on step-by-step procedures and skill development.

Eyes and Brows

This module covers eyebrow design, eyelash and eyebrow tinting, and eyelash extension application. Students will gain practical skills in enhancing the eye area.
