The course is aimed at professionals of health and aesthetic medicine who wish to incorporate in their practices the application of botulinum toxin as part of facial rejuvenation procedures. The course includes the selection of the client, the diagnosis according to the degree of aging of the skin, the anatomy of the facial muscles, the function and the effect that occurs in each of them and the application of the toxin. The most common and effective areas for the use of the product are discussed and the application technique is studied, as well as the use and characteristics of the different types of products existing in the market. In addition, the course includes the management of possible complications or undesired effects and recommendations for the client.






Each participant, after practicing in study models, will apply in real models the steps learned during the course, which include: the preparation of the medical-aesthetic record, the diagnosis, the selection of the points of application, the preparation of the product and the administration of botulinum toxin in the face of the client. At the end of the training, an examination and evaluation of the course will be carried out. The participant must reach at least 75% of the satisfactory answers to receive the Diploma that certifies their participation and knowledge about the use and application of botulinum toxin.

History of botulinum toxin. Types of botulinum toxin present in the market. Detailed anatomy of the upper third of the face and dangerous areas. Indications and contraindications of the procedure. Evaluation and selection of the patient. Review of the sterile technique in the application of botulinum toxin. Safety tips and how to avoid complications. Adverse reactions and their management. Live patient training, including diagnosis, treatment planning and adequate dose of botulinum toxin. Informed consent is necessary to begin treating patients immediately. Individualized and comprehensive training in model patients and hyperrealistic simulators.
