The Body Wrapping course is a workshops to train the participants in the body treatment technique of body wrapping. Body wrapping is a non-invasive esthetic procedure to dextoxify the body skin and may use presoaked herbal wraps for the purposes of cleansing and beautifying the skin of the body. Florida Medical & Aesthetic International School is offering every two weeks a body wrapping course in Miami.
To Become a Body Wrapping practitioner participant has to complete a two days course consisting in lecture and practice training at Florida Medical & Aesthetic International School. This course is aimed to provide those who want to learn the proper procedures for Body Wrapping of human body with herbal and mineral wraps.
Body wrapping is a non-invasive esthetic procedure to dextoxify the body skin and may use presoaked herbal wraps for the purposes of cleansing and beautifying the skin of the body. Applicants must be at least 16 years of age or have high school diploma.
Body Wrapping teaches an ancient technique up-dated in all the concepts of body sculpting and accelerated way to lose inches, popular in most countries for being a beauty procedure after socials events. This course includes education in HIV/AIDS and other communicable diseases, sanitation and sterilization, disorder and diseases of the skin, and studies regarding laws affecting body wrapping.
In addition this course focusing to conduct successful treatments teaching step by step this technique, its different variants, complications and much more.

This is a training workshop where participants will learn the theory and technical explanation of this body treatment as well as topics such as the benefit and recommendation of applying body wrap.
Body Wrapping Course Content
In this course, participants will be able to learn what the benefit is for the client when body wrapping techniques are applied. In the course you will learn about the different body wrap techniques such as classic body wrap techniques, the use of Mud (parafango) in body treatment as well as the use of Yeso wrap (yesotherapy or Plaster-Wrap), its application techniques and the various herbal ingredients used in the wrap.
Other topics included in the body wrapping course are:
- The Skin anatomy and components of lymphatic system
- Superficial lymphatic drainage with body wrapping techniques.
- Types of Body Wrapping.
- Consultation process.
- Contra-indications
- Aftercare advice.
- Hands-on: Bandage Application.
The body wrapping is a convenient procedure to apply before any other body treatment, because help in prior to the wrapping process, many treatments involve an exfoliation step, using scrubs or brushes to remove dead skin cells. This exfoliation can prepare the skin to better receive and absorb subsequent treatments, such as moisturizers, serums, or other topicals.
On the other hands body wrapping can stimulate blood flow to the skin’s surface. Increased circulation can help in nutrient delivery to the skin cells and improve the overall health and appearance of the skin, making subsequent treatments more effective.
Body Wrapping Regulations in Florida
Per Florida Statutes, Chapter 477 specifically addresses regulations for professionals in the cosmetology field. This chapter indicates that a license is not mandatory for individuals who solely practice body wrapping using herbal wraps to cleanse and beautify the body’s skin. However, this exemption does not cover:
(a) Applying oils, lotions, or other liquids to the body, except for those already contained in pre-soaked wrap materials. (b) Manipulating superficial body tissue, unless it’s due to compression from the wrap materials.
For comprehensive body wrap services in a salon or for aesthetic practices — which may include exfoliation, cosmetic product application, and other techniques — a license is necessary. Our training workshop goes beyond just teaching the basic application of pre-soaked bandages. To practice the techniques we teach, a cosmetology license such as a facial specialist, full specialist, or general cosmetology license is required.
