Massage Therapy Associate Degree Program

The Massage Therapy Associate Degree (AS) program offered by the Florida Medical & Aesthetic International School in Miami requires 90.5 credits to obtain a Diploma and apply for an examination with the FSMTB to get the license in Florida in less than one year. The course of Massage Therapy is offered on weekdays and Saturdays and includes theory and practice hours to learn the several techniques uses in Massage therapy.

Massage Therapy AS

The massage therapy program in Florida Medical & Aesthetic International School, the new name of Florida Medical College, has been offered since 2013. Our client centered program revolves around training and also includes massage practicum, hydrotherapy, spa techniques, and mechanics of body movements.
The massage therapy program include topics like: pathologies and diseases, sport massage, massage law, business practices, and the most current allied modalities.

Massage Therapy Degree Overview

Graduates have the opportunity to specialize in other aesthetic procedures related to body treatment to prepare them to perform services in aesthetic practice, such as radiofrequency, cavitation, body wrap and others. We also provide our students with the knowledge and techniques to help with  problems such as neck and back sciatic pain, stress reduction and muscle spams, combining the oriental modalities with the western and allied modalities.

Enroll in the Massage Therapy Degree Courses

Classes are offered in the morning sessions from 9 am to 5 pm, and evening sessions from 6 pm to 10 pm. Classes on weekends are from 8 am to 6 pm. 

Enrollment is accepted a week before planning to start. A prerequisite for enrolling in our program, being at least 18 years old with a high school diploma is necessary. We accept students from other schools with their previous credit transcripts.

Our students can also apply for the skin care program to obtain a facial specialist license if they wish to become a dual licensed aesthetic massage therapist, and they can also enroll in the body wrap course to register such licenses in the State of Florida and graduate as a true specialist in body aesthetic treatments.

Massage Therapy Courses and Licensing Requirements

At the end of the course graduates apply for the licensed Board exam through the Federation of State of Massage Therapy Boards who govern and administer the Massage & Bodywork Licensing Examination (MBLEX).

In compliance with the FSMTB and the Program approved by the Board of Massage of Florida, students will receive all the education and training necessary in all subject areas of the MBLEx Content Outline from an approved massage therapy education program.
