About Florida Medical  Teaching Methods

  1. Teacher-Centered Instruction: In this traditional method places our teacher at the forefront of the learning process. The teacher is the primary source of knowledge, and instruction is typically delivered through lectures or direct teaching. In this setup, students are expected to absorb information presented by the teacher, with the learning environment often being more structured and controlled. This method emphasizes the importance of curriculum content and teacher expertise, with less emphasis on student interaction and participation in the learning process.

  2. Technology-Based Learning: This method incorporates digital tools and resources to facilitate the learning process. It can include the use of educational software, online resources, virtual classrooms, and other digital platforms to deliver content, assess student learning, and provide opportunities for interaction and collaboration. Technology-based learning supports personalized learning experiences, allowing students to learn at their own pace and access resources that cater to their individual needs and learning styles. It also enables the integration of multimedia resources to enhance understanding and engagement.

  3. Hands-On Learning: Also known as experiential learning, this method involves active participation by the students in their learning process through practical activities and experiences. It emphasizes learning through doing, where students engage in experiments, projects, fieldwork, and other activities that require them to apply concepts and skills in real-world or simulated scenarios. Hands-on learning is particularly effective in fostering critical thinking, problem-solving skills, and a deeper understanding of the subject matter, as students are directly involved in constructing their knowledge through experience.
